Q. What is the  Annual LaTEENa Conference and Advanced Leadership Symposium?

A. They are two separate leadership opportunities that run simultaneously on the same day in the same facility.

Q. Where are the LaTEENa Conference and Advanced Leadership Symposium 

A. On a college campus (usually Regis University).

Q. When are the conference and symposium held?

A. The conference and symposium will be held on November 4, 2023.

Q. What is the duration of the conference? 

 A. It is an all day event with registration check-in beginning around 8:00 A.M and ending by 4:00 P.M.

Q. Will food be provided?

A. Yes. Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are provided. 

Q. What workshops are offered during The LaTEENa Conference?

A. The day is full of workshops that are facilitated by local professional Latinas. The workshops provide tools for students to use for high school graduation and continue on to college.

There will be interactive workshops and presentations that may include topics such as the following:

Financial Literacy 

Healthy Life Style Choices

Art Expression

The Modern Latina

Health/Fitness

Be Your Own Boss

Social Justice

Social Media

And others

Q. What does the Advanced Leadership Symposium offer?

A. The Advanced Leadership Symposium offers leaderships skills focused on career development in the workplace.

Q. What is the cost of the conference or the symposium?

A. There is a $15  registration fee that includes a tote bag and some goodies. All participants will receive a book written by a Latina author. 

(If a student and family cannot fulfill the registration fee, a sponsorship request letter can be submitted for a waiver.)

Q. What is the Parent Cafecito?

A. We welcome parents to stay and attend the Parent Cafecito. A workshop designed to provide tools for parents to help their student navigate high school advanced placement and early college preparation.  Parents also receive readiness tools to navigate the college application and admission process.
