Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) is a nonprofit making college possible and building the educational and economic future of Denver by collaborating with Denver Public Schools (DPS) high school students, families, and partners statewide to increase access and completion of post-high school learning and expand generational exposure to career and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Bill Daniels established the Daniels Fund to operate in perpetuity as a permanent part of the communities we serve. Our assets — the source of our ability to provide grants and scholarships — were provided entirely by Bill. The annual return generated through careful investment of our assets creates our capacity for charitable giving while maintaining, or even growing our asset base.
Colorado GEAR UP has been awarding scholarships to students since 2004. Colorado GEAR UP students are enrolled in over 200 colleges and universities across the country. To date, the Colorado GEAR UP III project has awarded nearly 11 million dollars. Colorado GEAR UP Scholarship awards will continue to be disbursed to eligible students in the college pipeline.
