The mission of the LaTEENa programs is to empower Latinas to achieve their full potential by maintaining healthy and successful lifestyles, graduating from high school, pursuing higher education, and becoming self-sufficient.
The objective of the LaTEENa Summer Leadership Program is to uplift rising 7th to 10th grade Latina students by enhancing their academic capabilities, personal growth, health and wellness awareness, and leadership through culturally grounded identity development. This program aims to prepare participants for future success by strengthening self-image, confidence, and leadership skills in a supportive environment.
The objective of the LaTEENa Conference is to uplift Latina high school students by providing them with critical life, academic, and career skills, as well as the inspiration and support they need to complete high school successfully and pursue postsecondary opportunities. Through interactive workshops and exposure to Latina role models, the conference fosters personal development, life readiness, leadership, and self-awareness—preparing participants to step into their futures confidently. The conference also includes a parent engagement session, Parent Cafecito, providing families with tools and guidance to support their daughters’ educational and personal success.
The objective of the Advanced Leadership Symposium is to equip our conference alumna, undergraduates, and early-career young women with the advanced skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in college, their careers, and personal lives. The event centers on the pillars of Heart (values), Head (knowledge), Hand (practical skills), and Health (well-being)—providing holistic, culturally grounded support to help participants become well-rounded leaders.
